About CHP

Church House Publishing, the official publisher of the Church of England, is an imprint of the Archbishops' Council of the Church of England.

The Archbishop's Council publishes a range of liturgy, reference and other resources for the Church under the CHP imprint, with Hymns Ancient & Modern Ltd (an Anglican charity with a long distinguished publishing heritage) acting as its production, marketing and distribution arm.

Church House Publishing equips the Church of England's local ministers and active churchgoers for worship, ministry and mission.

Alongside indispensible liturgy and reference resources, we aim to lead the way in providing practical and inspiring tools for:

  • promoting mission and church growth
  • ministry at major life events
  • celebrating Christian seasons and festivals
  • nurturing faith and discipleship with all ages.

As official publisher of the national church, CHP is uniquely placed to work with leading authors, advisers and practitioners to resource the needs of parishes and individuals from every tradition and in every place.
