RT @churchofenglandAs you #FollowTheStar this Advent and Christmas, why not try this special recipe for stained glass gingerbread baub… https://t.co/BtJnYgfssz
Author(s): John Kiddle, WIth a welcome from Archbishop Justin Welby
December may be a time of year when moments of peace and quiet reflection are in short supply. God With Us: Your Christmas Journey is designed to help you make the most of such moments whenever you can.
It offers thirteen short and simple reflections to help you explore the message of so many Christmas readings and carols - that God is with us.
There is one for each day from Christmas Eve to New Year's Day, as well as one each for the four weeks of Advent.
Each reflection is accompanied by a picture, a challenge and a short Bible reading to help you make connections between the Christmas story and your own life, and take the next step on your journey of faith.
Your Christmas Journey is at the heart of the Church of England's GodWithUs campaign for Christmas 2017.
John Kiddle is the Archdeacon of Wandsworth.
'My prayer is that this booklet helps you unwrap in your own life God's gifts of peace, hope and love.'Archbishop Justin Welby
The product was very succinct and contained some interesting material and reflections. Unfortunately, because we were late making the order, we were not able to make the booklet available to many people before 24th December. However they were offered to those attending our Crib Service and Midnight Mass. They were all taken. Largely by those who do not attend church regularly. Hopefully some seeds were sown!
Excellent - though the insistence of 16 characters for a review is tiresome!!!
good product. Could have been pages.
A booklet containing material for the 4 weeks of Advent in the year when Advent has only 3 weeks is confusing even for the partially theologically literate. Week 4 of Advent begins on Christmas Eve so the booklet offers alternative material - not good planning.
