Product description

Pilgrim is a major teaching and discipleship resource from the Church of England that aims to help enquirers and new Christians explore what it means to travel through life with Jesus Christ.

Each session in the Pilgrim course is introduced by a short film that features contributors to that session. Previously only available online, the entire collection of films is now available on DVD in response to demand, allowing the Pilgrim course to be run in house groups and churches without the need for an internet connection.

This first DVD contains 24 films, covering the six sessions in the following Pilgrim Books: Turning to Christ, The Lord's Prayer, The Commandments and The Beatitudes.

The Pilgrim author team includes the writer and theologian Paula Gooder, Bishop Steven Croft, Bishop Stephen Cottrell and Bishop Robert Atwell. Individual volumes include contributors from across the Anglican church worldwide.

The Pilgrim videos are produced by Backstreet Films Ltd.

As we are using the Pilgrim books I purchased the accompanying DVD. I am very disappointed with it and in fact the group decided to discontinue using it after a couple of sessions. We are finding the study books well set and challenging but the DVD seems unnecessary and not totally relevant. If I had watched a clip before purchase I would not have bought it.

A very useful tool to go with the course
