Paula Gooder is a freelance writer and lecturer in Biblical studies, a Reader in the Church of England and an honorary Canon Theologian at Birmingham and Guildford Cathedrals.

Steven Croft is to be the next Bishop of Oxford, having been Bishop of Sheffield since 2009. A former Archbishop's Missioner and the first Team Leader of Fresh Expressions, he is the author of many acclaimed books including Jesus' People: What the Church should do next and editor of Mission-shaped Questions. Steven is a co-creator of the Emmaus course and co-author of the Pilgrim course.

Robert Atwell is the Bishop of Exeter and the current Chair of the Church of England's Liturgical Committee. He is the compiler of Celebrating the Saints, Celebrating the Seasons, and three anthologies of readings for special occasions: Gift, Love and Remember. His other books include Spiritual Classics from the Early Church, The Contented Life and The Good Worship Guide: Leading liturgy well. He is a co-author of the Pilgrim course.

Andrew Watson is the Suffragan Bishop of Aston in the Diocese of Birmingham and a contributor to the Pilgrim course.

Bishop Victoria Matthews was installed as the eighth Bishop of Christchurch in 2008. She had previously served as the Bishop of Edmonton, Canada, for 10 years. Bishop Victoria is the second of three women to become a diocesan bishop in New Zealand. During her episcopacy in New Zealand, she has continued to be in high demand as a retreat leader and guest lecturer. She particularly enjoys leading youth pilgrimages, and has a passion for developing young leaders in the church.

Revd Canon J.John is a renowned international Christian speaker. His much-loved art of storytelling helps people to discover spiritual meaning in a way that makes sense of everyday life. J.John has authored several titles including just10 – a contemporary application of God’s Ten Commandments, and is a contributor to the Pilgrim course.

Lucy Winkett is Rector of St James’s Church Piccadilly. She contributes regularly to Radio 4’s Thought for the Day and is the author of Our Sound is our Wound (Continuum 2010). She combines parish ministry with chairing an educational trust and running an all-through Church of England Academy, including a project for children on the autistic spectrum. Until 2010, she was Canon Precentor of St Paul’s Cathedral.

Alan Smith is the Bishop of St Albans and a contributor to the Pilgrim course.

Joanne Grenfell is Archdeacon of Portsdown in the Diocese of Portsmouth. She is one of eight women regional representatives in the House of Bishops. Previously she was Director of Ordinands, Residentiary Canon, and Dean of Women's Ministry in Sheffield. Her interests include communications, preaching, and literature and theology.
